Boeing Sustainability efforts are focused on innovating and operating to make the world better for future generations through environmental stewardship, social progress, and values-driven governance. As Lead UI Designer and Art Director, I created the look, style and functionality of Boeing’s very first Sustainability webpage, as well as the linked Report webpage. Our goal was to build an informative website that’s clean, easy to navigate, and feels human, real and raw.
I worked as Lead Designer and Art Director alongside Boeing communicators, directors, management, and other creatives to design and build the Travel Confidently with Boeing website. This website provides health information and technology solutions around travel and COVID-19 for airline crew and most importantly, the flying public. This project was very complex being it took a lot of time to finesse how to organize and show pieces of information in a clear, easy to read layout, while giving a human touch with soft color and illustration, plus real (and few stock) employee/product photography and videos.
As air travel resumes and restrictions ease around the globe, your health and safety are always the top priority. Boeing is continuing to work across the industry to enhance health safeguards and develop new solutions. Take a look through the Travel Confidently by Boeing website to read about the most current safety measures and technology innovations in simple language that are being used to keep the flying public safe (phaseII live as-of June 2021). I had the honor to work as a visual designer and creative director through the AIGA Changemakers Series program with the PV leadership and marketing team. Together, we updated their voice, logo, color palette, brand guidelines manual, website, and digital assets for social media marketing. Powerful Voices is all about creating space. We are a fully femme, womxn, non-binary staff of color that aims to build a place where young girls* of color can feel brave enough to share their truths with us and then the world. Since 1995, we have created gender-specific, social justice programs for 11-19 year olds so that they can be equipped with communal knowledge and platforms to speak up. We also resource share and partner with organizations, individuals, and businesses alike to re-frame what it looks like to support and be led by young people.
Boeing celebrates LGBTQ+ pride year-round and recognizes our LGBTQ+ teammates, whose global impact continues to transform Boeing and aerospace.
I worked as the UI designer and Art Director to help voice our pride in standing alongside the LGBTQ+ community, acknowledging the progress made in the ongoing pursuit of LGBTQ+ equality and the work still needed to improve.
