Two concepts were presented in English to our business partner to share ideas of how we could display the messaging. To customize the 787 airplane, I stripped down the Egypt Air logo, livery graphics, and colors to keep the graphics simple, yet still recognizable when smaller on mobile. The graphics were then flipped to fly and read right to left in the Arabic language. To show the distance through time, the 787 takes off in the night sky over the Seattle skyline and Space Needle, flies into the morning over the Great Sphinx of Giza, to land in Cairo, Egypt, in less than one day. We removed all copy as the messaging would be displayed in the caption with the Tweet. In the end, the partnership of Egypt Air and Boeing is displayed.
Previously, the highest numbers for the Boeing Middle East team had 1.2K likes, 53 retweets and 7 comments with a low of 17 likes, 2 retweets and 1 comment. Our business partners in BCA were so excited about the response from the public to the animation, that our Creative Services team was asked to use the same concept for upcoming deliveries in other countries.
