We began with a team of two directors, two creative strategists, and four designers. In one week, we worked on different kit of parts concepts and created hundreds of sketches. After the first round, we narrowed down to two designers, one being myself. Days later, an in-person presentation was given to McDonald’s with research, sketches (sample of a few shown above), color palettes, logos, collateral, environmental signage, and logo application ideas on different materials.

We mapped out how we imagined the ordering process to be for the in-person experience.

With positive reviews, the CYT concept was expanded and tested internationally and in about 2,000 U.S. locations in 2015.
